FREE!

Enslavement is a thing of the mind. We’ve been free for years right? Lincoln freed us. At least that’s what the history books say. What is FREE? Something that is given away without a price; nothing expected in return.
This is my meaning of the word. Let’s think about this for a minute. Are we really free? Why do we have to be FREE? Who gave them the power to choose? I don’t think the answer is that hard. Just think about it for a minute and I’m sure you’ll come up with it.

Today we celebrate Martin Luther King’s birthday. Part of his “I Have A Dream” speech was “Free at last, Free at last, Thank GOD Almighty, We’re Free at last. I wonder if he were alive today how would he feel. Would he think that we were FREE or would his definition of the word change with the times? Would he settle for THEIR meaning or would he keep striving for HIS? What do you think?
