MASTERPIECE

You came to me all broken, torn up inside
You couldn’t go on, you said
You were tired of doing it yourself
You were ready to let me in
You were willing to let me finish what I started

For I built the mold, I am the artist
But you chose to take over and you did
This is not my work
You changed the sculpture all together
You are so fragile
No one can touch you for fear of breaking you
But I am not afraid
I am glad you came back to me
For I am the author, the creator, the finisher
I will touch you and I will break you and I will begin anew!

I must start from scratch for the original mold is old and worn
Are you ready to begin?
Yes
Then lay down, close your eyes and drift into a land of trust; restoration in process

Awake I say-you are still groggy
Awake I say-you can barely move
Awake I say-I feel different you say
Awake I say-I am you say-for the first time in a while

You smile
You thank me
You ask, “What is the cost?”
I say the price has been paid a long, long time ago.
WE knew you’d return
“We”? You ask
“WE”, I say
And I must admit you are one of HIS finest works!
A true work of art!
A MASTERPIECE!
