Homosexuality: Born This Way or a Lifestyle

I do not believe that ALL people are born gay but I do believe there are a few. As a christian I never used to believe that people were born gay at all. But as I think back to some of the people I know who are gay, some of them were this way as children! We can always pick out the "different" individual(s). I'm sure they didn't want to be this way. I mean, seriously, who would set themselves up for that type of discrimination?

Now I do have a problem with the homosexual "lifestyle". You chose this. You are doing this of your own free will and I do take offense to this.

God gives us all free will and we will be tempted and go through trials and tribulations. It's up to US to fight temptation and get stronger by going through our daily life struggles and keeping God first.

Even though the bible calls homosexuality an abomination; it is still sin! AND EVERYONE SINS EVERYDAY-christians as well!!! He who has not sinned, cast the first stone-Jesus' words! Remember we are only HUMAN. That's why we are always to ask Him for forgiveness. ONCE YOU ASK FOR FORGIVENESS YOU ARE FORGIVEN! YOU BECOME BRAND NEW AGAIN. THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF GOD.

We all have to stand before God one day and be held accountable for the way we led our lives. Therefore, I do not judge--only God can do that. I don't have a heaven or hell to put anyone in. Just my thoughts and beliefs on the subject.

Life Anew!

Today I have made two life-changing decisions--decisions that I have put off for several years. Today I have made up my mind to reenter college and earn my degree and to start my own business. I have decided to ignore the negativity that once held me back from furthering my education and starting my own business; I am not too old; I do not have to sacrifice a future career as a CEO for an average job in order to pay bills; and my degree will be much more than a "piece of paper." Fooling myself into believing I am happy and content with my current position in life is a thing of the past.

Today, I awoke from a seventeen-year slumber. Needless to say, I am well rested and ready to finish what I started years ago. I have never deemed myself a quitter and refuse to be characterized as one. I always tell my children to finish whatever they begin, and now I taking my own advice. I want my children to mimic my accomplishments, not my failures. I do not, however, want my eagerness and strong desire to reenter college to be miscontrued as a lack of pride in my life up to this point. On the contrary, I have been blessed with a supportive husband, three wonderful children, a loving extended family, and a best friend (WHO IS FAMILY) that will be there no matter what! Nonetheless, I am now ready to embark on a new journey towards realizing my dreams. The bible states in Proverbs 29:18, "where there is no vision, the people perish..." I will not give up the dreams and visions God has placed within my heart and going back to school is a step in the right direction and how I wish to make these dreams reality.

Achieving my B.A. in English Writing will lay a solid foundation for my career paths. I intend to further my education through post-baccalaureate study in business management because of my plans to OWN a business. I trust that the school of my choice will thoroughly prepare me for the life I have mapped out for myself by honing the skills I already possess and providing me with those that I lack. A brand new life awaits and I am ready and willing to accept the challenges that I will face in my voyage to meet it.
